City Hospital
The last week of the first year of Totton College had a 48 Hour Film Challenge, I teamed up with T. David Bloomer and Adam Best and we were given the challenge of creating a short film in 48 hours which had to have:
Genre: Medical Drama
Prop: Leotard
Line: 'Nurse, hand me the spactula.'
The result was the film below which won the 48 hour film challenge overall. The script was written in around an hour, we were even in costume about 30 mins after the challenge begun. We played the main roles of the doctors and got one other person to play my brother and to be he patient in bed. We got the leotard prop from a local shop in Totton, where one doctor wears on his head after becoming mad with grief, we also managed to fit in the required line which also needed a fake chest to open up and have internal organs for a brief shot, the spactula was used. The overall finished product was a parody of popular medical dramas with ridulous plot lines and very sterotypical characters with their flaws and problems.
It can only be seen to be believed.
More are planned and the scripts have been written for a further 6 episodes, hopefully filming will begin soon.
As of April 2010 production on the series has reached a standstill so at this moment of time it is cancelled.
